Bathroom stories

It all started with Simone de Beauvoir's pictures in her lover’s bathroom, taken in New-York by Art Shay (1950). Simone de Beauvoir, a feminist philosopher, blooming into mature femininity in a picture, like a snapshot.

At some point, I probably correlate the other iconic picture of Lee Miller in Hitler’s bathtub, taken by her lover David E. Scherman (1945) that was recently recreated by Annie Leibovitz with Kate Winslett as Lee Miller.

However, most of the work in this set wasn’t snapshots, as I tried to play with the often tricky angles, lights and mirrors.
