Pubs in Belgium
Belgium is the country where I was born, where people speak Flemish, French, German, English and many other languages, thanks to the mix of cultures and origins. Belgian pubs are named Café, Bistro, Bruin café, Estaminet, Brasserie, Bar depending on the area and the style.
Like Belgian art, belgian pubs have some flavours of Jacques Brel's poestry tainted with a bit of Magritte's surrealism, the belgian beers always served fresh.
I like to sit and capture some moments of humanity at the Brasserie de l'Union on the forecourt of St Gilles, at Mokafé in the Royal Galleries, or in the Café du Parc in Oostende.
